Comrade Andreas Voyatzoglou: Forever in the heart of the international proletariat!
In deep mourning we have received the news of the death of Comrade Andreas Voyatzoglou, long-time General Secretary of the KKE (m-l). We convey our deepest condolences to the Party Executive Committee and the entire party of the KKE (m-l), as well as to the relatives, on the passing of this important comrade. We address our red class salutes to the legacy of Comrade Voyatzoglou, throughout his life a fighter and militant for the party, the struggling organization of the proletariat, the vanguard of the revolution.
Comrade Voyatzoglou put his whole life at the service of the working class and the people. His life was intimately linked to the fate of the revolution in Greece, as well as the proletarian movement worldwide. Whether in victories or defeats, Comrade Voyatzoglou understood what the oppressed and exploited most urgently needs: Leadership from the Communist Party, guidance from the ideology of the proletariat. He proved this classconscious attitude again and again by taking an active part in the building and forging of the KKE (m-l), and since 2010 he resolutely took up the responsible task of General Secretary of the party. Comrade Voyatzoglou inspired with his activity and spurred the communists and revolutionaries to firmly take up their task in the service of the international proletariat, always putting the interests of the class and the people first.
Comrade Voyatzoglou leaves us at a moment when the storms of the class struggle are increasing and a new wave of the World Proletarian Revolution is developing. May his legacy and memory be both a duty and an incentive for communists and revolutionaries to place the Communist Parties at the forefront of the class struggles precisely at this new moment. Guided by the proletarian ideology, Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, the new wave of the World Proletarian Revolution will sweep imperialism away from the face of the earth!
